We are delighted to welcome you to Donkieskraal Guest Lodge. Our wish is that your stay will be relaxing, memorable, and filled with the beauty of the bush.

Check-Out: By 10h00. However, arrange any late check-out with management in advance.
Self-catering: Donkieskraal offers self-catering accommodation. Facilities differ by stay type. Therefore, review the Accommodation page or enquire before arrival.
Donkieskraal runs off solar energy. Therefore, reserve its limited electricity for essential use. Camp sites do not provide electricity.
Please do not bring or use:
Fans, ice makers, hair dryers, hair straighteners or fridges. Do not charge solar batteries.
In addition, please help conserve energy during your stay.
Wood: R50 per bag.
Ice: R25 per bag.
Fire Lighters: R15.
You can purchase these directly from management during your stay. Also, tell management via WhatsApp 48 hours in advance how much ice or wood you require.
The camp sites do not offer electricity. Please plan for fully off-grid camping before arrival.
Facilities include peaceful mountain views, green camping spots, ablution facilities with hot water showers and excellent stargazing at night.
We strive to create a peaceful and respectful environment for all our guests. Thank you for observing the lodge rules and helping us preserve the quiet charm of Donkieskraal. We wish you a wonderful stay and many special moments in nature.
Rules & Regulations
To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable stay for all our guests, we kindly ask that you respect the following rules.
1. Quiet Hours: After 10: 00 PM, guests must avoid music, loud talking and disruptive noise.
2. Solar Battery Charging: Campers must not charge solar batteries on lodge facilities. Instead, arrange your own power.
3. Respectful Language: Please avoid offensive, vulgar or inappropriate language. Treat other guests, staff and nature with respect.
4. Environmental Respect: Please leave no litter behind and respect the natural surroundings.
5. Safety & Consideration: Light fires only in designated areas. Also, be mindful of other guests' comfort and privacy.
6. Bar Facilities: Guests may bring their own alcoholic beverages onto the lodge premises and enjoy them in their rooms or designated private areas. However, do not bring or consume outside alcohol in the bar area. Guests must purchase all drinks consumed in the bar directly from the lodge bar.
Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate removal from the lodge premises without refund.

Directions
Travel guidance supplied for guests driving from Cape Town and surrounding areas.
N7 or R27: You can use either route when travelling from Cape Town and surrounding areas.
Via the R27: The Donkieskraal GPS coordinates will take you via tar roads.
From Piketberg: Do not follow GPS coordinates that divert you too early onto gravel roads.
Do not follow GPS instructions that direct you onto a gravel road 35 km after Piketberg. Continue to Vensterklip / Elands Bay.
Payment Instructions
The lodge will add charges for damaged goods at the end of the stay.
NO REFUND applies after payment.
